The organization provides a two-day dental care clinic to the uninsured and underserved in Connecticut. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) provides grants to states, territories, and some Indian tribes to improve the energy efficiency of the homes of low-income families. Operation Fuel Bank

Operation Fuel Bank is a private, non-profit energy assistance program for people who need emergency help with energy bills and are not eligible for state or federal assistance. In general eligible households have incomes between 151% and 200% of the federal poverty level. The maximum Operation Fuel assistance available is $250 per household for the heating season. Payments are made directly to the company that supplies the household with the heating fuel or utility services.

Applications are made at the local fuel bank. Single mothers are encouraged to make an appointment and should bring verification of income and their latest fuel or utility bill.

Home of Hope

Are you a single mom with kids and currently homeless? There is help to get your life back on track for you and your children. The Home of Hope is a one-year transitional housing program for single mothers with children who are homeless. The group provides support and help to each woman to work with identifying the steps necessary to achieve safe, secure housing for themselves and their children.
